Let's start this new week with a new twitch to a classic DIY. I have seen many wine crates passing by the last couple of years, but strangely enough none of those DIY'ers used the lid of these crates. (or I always looked at the same projects). I was getting a bit bored with this popping up in every house, but I do like the fact that you can use these as real cabinets. Another one of those 'why didn't I think of this'-moments ...
Idea! Paint these crates in the same color as the wall, as you can see on the picture below. This creates a nice affect and they seem less heavy. The inside can be given a contrasting color (paint or wallpaper).
Deze nieuwe week wil ik starten met een alternatief op een klassiek DHZ-projectje. De laatste jaren zijn er al veel wijnkistjes gepasseerd op internet en tv, maar vreemd genoeg heb ik er nooit geen gezien waarbij het deksel nog werd gebruikt (ofwel keek ik altijd naar de verkeerde?). Het nieuwe was er momenteel al van af, aangezien je deze ook overal kon vinden, maar ik hou wel van dit detail zodanig dat je ze als echte kastjes kan gebruiken (wel klein natuurlijk). Opnieuw een 'waarom heb ik hier niet zelf aan gedacht'-moment ...
Tip: schilder ze in dezelfde kleur als de muur zoals op de foto hieronder, geeft een leuk beeld en zo lijken ze ook minder zwaar. Binnenkant kan je dan desnoods wel een contrasterend kleurtje geven (desnoods met behangpapier)!
