Spacious, bright, with a nice furniture selection and walls full of art. No styling was needed.

Bedroom styling by Susanna Vento

Just looking at these pictures makes me feel asleep. And I don't mean this in a bad way! We're juggling at the moment between a fulltime dayjob and taking care of our little man, who sadly needs to get fed during the night :) ... which means less sleep for Dad!

Below pictures also made me realize I should invest more in my bedroom, as it's still too boring at the moment .. What does your bedroom look like?

Hoe zit jouw slaapkamer eruit?

Such Great Heights

Back to school!

Monday, 2nd of September. The end of 2 months of sun&fun for all children and teachers in Belgium. Yep, the beginning of a new schoolyear. Although my study years are far behind me, I still enjoy the historical schoolbuildings we have around here. Below conversion project, designed by dmvA architects, shows an old school building converted into a modern family home. Lots of concrete provided the reinforcement neccessary for both the forgotten school building and the added pool on the roof.

(the schoolhouse atop which the pool lies)

An artist loft

Simple and beautiful. The way I like my interiors! :)

Let's move to Berlin!

Bright and airy. That's how I would summarize below Berlin home. It's the work of German Karhard studio who renovated two apartments and converted them into one cosy home. Although spare and white, they weren't afraid to use a few colours (but non-conventional colour combos!) throughout the home.

I especially dig their whitewashed floors.

Finn.

Because everybody loves a good babypicture!

But don't worry, this will not change into a babyblog anytime soon. :)

From next week on, back on full force with lots of fresh inspiration!

In love

The reason I haven't posted last week can be found here below.

Yes, Studio8940 has a successor. Today, our little boy Finn was born. I hope he shares the good taste of his father. So excuse for being offline for a few more days, I have to fall in love with a boy ...

Back to work!

OH NO! Holidays are over ... back to work. No more lazy monday, tuesday, wednesdays ... No more cocktails at home ... No more staying in your pyjamas all day long ... Therefore, a work-related blogpost today to get back in the mood!
